The Rare Spares Legend award has been created to recognise the lifetime achievements of those that have given great levels of dedication to the motor industry. Each yearly inductee earns their place in the Legend Hall of Fame and receives a number of personal benefits as well as national acknowledgment.
Rare Spares uses one of the industry’s major events; Summernats to make the presentation to the inductee each year, with event organisers providing a dedicated timeslot for the award in the popular Saturday night schedule. Each inductee will be paraded via a lap of honour of the main Summernats arena, so that car lovers and industry figures alike can show their respect for the worthy recipients.
Legends receive their own exclusive gold helmet with the year of the induction and their name sign written onto it. The helmet is designed and painted by well known artist John Kral in a scheme exclusive to the Legend award. To ensure that recipients receive mainstream recognition, they will also be provided with a dedicated full page advertisement in leading publication Street Machine Magazine, along with a professional photo shoot.
